Meet the Board: Jan Brown Image

Jan Brown graduated from the University of Toledo with a dual degree in health and physical education, with minors in biology and special education. She has a master’s degree in education (MRDD) from Marshall University.

Jan was Assistant Vice President of University Relations at Florida State University, leaving there after nine years to start her own human resources firm.

She has served as Executive Director of Huntington (WV) Special Olympics and West Virginia Special Olympics, Inc. and as Development Director and Assistant Development Director of Florida Special Olympics, Inc. and Special Olympics International (Washington, DC), respectively. She also served as Executive Director of Assistance Dogs of America (Toledo).

Jan graduated from Leadership Tallahassee and Leadership Florida. She served on numerous boards of directors in Florida and currently chairs the Board of Lott.

We are pleased to have someone with Jan’s experience as the Chair of our Board and thank her for her continued interest in those we serve!
